Susan Sturdivan-Savoie

RPM Equestrian LLC

First, I have been in the equestrian world for over thirty five years. I have successfully bred, trained and showed horses during this time. From my experience I have learned that injuries will occur. While they were few and far between my cohorts often experienced having to scratch an entry due to "short steps" and motion anomalies. Being very competitive in nature and wanting to help my students and others, I then started my journey to investigate ways to prevent and assist with DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness) and ROM (range of motion) issues. I have years of extensive training in equine sports corrective performance supervised by equine veterinarians. I have trained in equine sports massage and acuscope modality which is a huge competitve secret enhancing ROM due to a 500% productioin of collagen and inducement of ATP, through amniobuteric acid production and normalizing the ionic channels of the cell membrane in an inflammed area. I have mentored and taught many young people and adults with their wellbeing and successful competition in mind. My philosophy is to embark on the journey of learning to improve you and your horse considering the harmony of horse and rider! For humans I went to Sports Massage School and after completing my internship, and I passed the TDLR Board exam (MBLEX by 100 points) and became a Board certified Licensed Massage Therapist with the Specialty in Sports Injury. Sports injury treatments consider pre-habilitation (preventing injury), rehabilitation and correct biomechanics and correcting muscle imbalances to facilitate success. My family experienced many success examples in competition in school and at our farm Twin Oaks/Brownlee Bloodstock an equine center in Sunnyvale, Texas. I would aspire to help you with your horse. My contact information is below to schedule a spa day for you and your horse!
